Bennett Motors Supports
Great Falls Rescue Mission

February 25, 2011 - Bennett Motors Inc. donated a used Pontiac Montana AWD Van to The Great Falls Rescue Mission.  The Rescue Mission was in need of a vehicle for ministering to the poor and homeless in our area.  "For an increasing number of our neighbors, rising unemployment, mental illness, drugs, alcohol and gambling addictions and a lack of affordable housing make living here a tremendous challenge," said Cari Yturri, President of Bennett Motors Inc.   "For those who are hungry, homeless or in need, the Great Falls Rescue Mission is a Beacon of Hope and renewal, where they are committed to meet the physical and spiritual needs of men, women and children."

"Bennett Motors is committed to being active in helping make Great Falls a better place for everyone to live" said Cari Yturri.  "We earn our living from Great Falls and the surrounding area and it has always been our philosophy to give back."

"The Great Falls Rescue Mission is blessed to have wonderful supporters like Bennett Motors, Cari Yturi and thousands of others that faithfully support in our Mission!" Said Jim Kizer, Executive Director.

Great Falls Rescue Mission serves 3 meals a day and served 72,061 meals last year.
There are many reasons people are homeless. Some are having a crisis: loss of a job, car breaks down, family problems, etc. For others, their life is a crisis: substance abuse, mental illness, or gambling problems. The average age has dropped from 55 to 35. It is now common to have teenagers stay at the Rescue Mission.  Every adult is provided with help in finding a job, seeking housing, spiritual counsel, life skill classes, accountability and friendship.

A growing number of homeless people are women and children. The Mission's new shelter, Haven of Hope, provides shelter, care, counseling and a place of safety for women, children and families.
